Offensive videos of university girl students leaked, many attempted suicide, accused student arrested

Chandigarh University Video Leaked News : There was a huge uproar after objectionable videos of several girl students of a private university in Punjab were leaked. Hundreds of students raised the issue and protested since late Saturday night. In this case, SSP Mohali Vivek Soni told that an FIR has been registered against a girl student for making objectionable videos of girls viral and she has been arrested. Police has said that the matter is being investigated.

Where hundreds of students protested late on Saturday night itself, alleging that objectionable videos of other students were leaked by a fellow student.

Accused of leaking objectionable video on the student itself: According to media reports, some of the girl students whose videos were made have also attempted suicide. A girl student has also been taken to the hospital in a serious condition. However, the police have denied these suicides and said that they have started investigation. In the case, the accused student, who is accused of leaking the video, is accused by other students that she was also demanding money from others for allegedly not leaking the video.

SSP gave information about the matter: Speaking to The Indian Express, Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said that the student has admitted that she had sent her pictures to her friend but they are trying to confirm if she has sent pictures of other girls as well. . SSP Soni said that “We are probing the matter. In case if mobile phone or other technical investigation is required then we will do it. In this matter the girl students have continued to protest that but the situation is under control.”

Punjab Education Minister said of strict action: After this incident came to light, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has appealed to the protesting students to remain calm and assured that no guilty will be spared. He said that this is a very sensitive matter and concerns the dignity of our sisters and daughters.
